US kids' channel Noggin has picked up a new teen drama series 24Seven from UK distributor Granada International, with the same series also going to France2.

A spokeswoman for Granada called the Noggin deal a {breakthrough{ for the UK outfit, with the channel – a joint venture between Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop – taking 26 episodes of the show. Granada International's first deal with Noggin was scored by the distributor's US-based factual and kids' sales exec Tania Ussher.

Produced by Granada Kids, 24Seven focuses on an upbeat and good-looking bunch of teenagers who live in an ultra-exclusive international boarding school.

The French sale was won by Granada's vp of sales and international development for children's, Jane Dockery.

In other Granada Kids news, its recent animated co-pro with Sextant Entertainment, Don't Eat the Neighbours, has been so far sold into Disney (France), France5, ABC (Australia) and TVB (Hong Kong).

Granada International has also found international buyers for the fourth series of The Worst Witch, entitled Weirdsister College, as well as its entire catalogue of 53 previous episodes.

The full run, produced by Granada Kids and Galafilm, has been picked up broadcasters in Switzerland, Belgium, Panama, Hong Kong, Malta, Norway, Latin America, Cyprus and Mexico in something of a post-Harry Potter frenzy.
